How this tier list is ranked
Equipment is ranked by what it adds to a real team, not only by rarity. Pure damage and damage-dealt bonuses are the most useful because they improve the main reason most units are placed. SPA comes next because attacking more often increases damage and can also apply status effects more frequently.
After that, prioritize pieces that combine damage with SPA, then damage with range, then pure range. Utility equipment sits lower for general use, but some of those pieces become top choices when their effect perfectly matches a unit.
General priority: damage or damage dealt, SPA, damage plus SPA, damage plus range, range, then specialized utility.
Why Magic Book is S plus
Magic Book can add up to twenty percent magical damage, which is a major direct increase for a magical damage unit. It belongs in S plus when the unit fully benefits from that damage type. Do not place it on a unit that cannot use the magical bonus just because the equipment itself is highly ranked.
The best equipment choice is always the strongest compatible bonus. A slightly lower general item can still be the better build if the top item wastes part of its effect.
Bamboo Bottle and active skills
Bamboo Bottle is strongest on units such as Shadow or Puppet because it helps with active-skill cooldowns. The effect becomes much more valuable in Tournament, Endless, and other modes where the active skill can be used more than ten times.
In a short Story clear, the match may end before the extra activations matter. In a long mode, every additional use can create another damage window or another important control effect, which is why the same equipment can move several tiers depending on the content.
Slightfoot for crowd-control units
Slightfoot can be excellent on a unit that does not deal much damage but has valuable crowd control. Salmon Sorcerer is the clearest example: the unit is not in the team to carry total damage, so forcing a damage item onto it may add less value than improving how consistently it supports the rest of the team.
Judge support equipment by how often it prevents leaks, delays a dangerous enemy, or keeps a boss inside your main damage area.
Cursed Finger and specialized builds
Cursed Finger is powerful only on units that can use its effect properly. Cursed Student and Crimson are examples of units where the interaction can justify the slot. On a random unit, a simple damage or SPA piece will usually provide more reliable value.
Before committing a rare item, test the unit with and without it in the same stage. Compare clear time, boss damage, and whether the special effect changes the result of the run.
