How to Get Prodigy Secret and Beat Prodigy's Trial in Anime Expeditions

Find the Prodigy quest NPC

Enter any East Town map, move left from spawn, and continue toward the basketball court. Speak to the Prodigy quest NPC and accept Scholar's Trial. Track it under the Trials section of the quest menu.

The source calls the area “New Town” once, but all requirements and the update overview identify East Town. East Town is used throughout this guide; confirm the live map label before publication.

Scholar's Trial requirements

Double-count the two 150-wave objectives

The largest avoidable time loss is farming the two wave objectives separately. Evolve both required units first, equip both, and let the same cleared waves count toward each objective. Story, boss-node, and suitable farming runs can contribute while the two units remain in the team.

Do not assume merely owning the evolved units counts. The wording described in the source requires clearing waves with them, so confirm both are in the active team before starting.

Mechanical Scrap, story, boss node, and Tournament

Collect Mechanical Scrap in West City Expeditions. Before selecting a path, inspect the node rewards and favor material nodes. The source gives a requirement of 350 but no guaranteed amount per run, so this guide does not estimate a run count.

For East Town completion, clear every story act shown in the current menu. For the boss-node objective, set the run to difficulty 3 and choose a route that actually reaches a boss node. A boss on a lower difficulty should not be expected to count.

The source says the Tournament objective requires participation, not a win or placement. Enter and complete enough of the activity for the quest to register, then inspect the counter before leaving.

Beat the preset Prodigy's Trial

The trial supplies a fixed team described as Prodigy (Rage), The Drink (Juice Box), String Demon (Awakened), Salmon Sorcerer (Grade One), The Hero, and Stone Alchemist. Because the roster is preset, success depends on economy, placement, targeting, and upgrade order.

Start Stone Alchemist farms before committing to the full defense. One early Salmon Sorcerer should control initial enemies while the economy grows. Let enemies advance toward the middle before building the main formation so farm income has time to accumulate.

Prioritize The Hero's useful team buff before pouring every resource into a headline damage unit. Then place the shield-breaking copies described in the source—The Hero, String Demon, and Salmon Sorcerer—and set suitable units to Shielded. The transcript says the final boss arrives with 50 shields; verify that live value, but prepare shield targeting regardless.

Use Prodigy's active skill against the most dangerous wave or boss. Auto-skill is convenient, while manual activation gives better control over the final phase.

Claim Prodigy and complete the follow-up trial

When all eight objectives are complete, return to Scholar's Trial and claim Prodigy. Lock the unit immediately to prevent accidental sale or scrapping.

The same NPC offers Perfection's Trial according to the source. Its Bio Insect special trial uses two important modifiers: Stunner periodically disables the three nearest units, while Splitter creates three smaller enemies when a marked enemy dies. Spread more than three dependable attackers across the path, use area damage for the split groups, and add crowd control to hold them inside attack range.

• Accept the quest before clearing content that may not count retroactively.

• Do not enter a lower difficulty for the required difficulty 3 boss node.
• Do not spend all early trial income on damage before building the economy.
• Do not ignore Shielded targeting during the preset trial.
• Do not stack only three attackers where Stunner can disable all of them.
