Slayer 2 Slayer Progression Guide: Final Selection and Build

Before you start: Final Selection requirements

You must be human and reach level 45 before entering Final Selection. Travel to the bottom-left of the map and be ready at the beginning of an hour, when the event starts.

The selection combines collection quests, fights, timed objectives, and parkour. Bring other players if possible, especially at level 45: Lost and the Hand Demon can be difficult with an early build.

Rem and Vael: collect fruit and defeat Lesser Demons

Speak to Rem first, then collect the three different fruits lying nearby. Return to Rem after collecting all three to finish the first quest.

Find Vael and accept the next quest. Defeat five Lesser Demons, then return to Vael to turn it in. Do not skip the NPC conversations between objectives.

Klein and Rika: recover the katana and heal Klein

Speak to Klein and look to the right of his location for the missing katana. Collect it, bring it back, and speak to him again.

Klein sends you to Rika. Buy one bandage for 25 cash, return to Klein, and complete the healing minigame. One bandage is enough for this step.

Mizuto: defeat Lost and clear the parkour dungeon

Accept Mizuto’s quest and find Lost. This enemy has 790 Health, so block and dodge between attacks instead of trading every hit. A party can make the fight easier if you have only just reached level 45. Return to Mizuto after winning.

Enter the nearby parkour dungeon. Each attempt gives you six minutes and three health. Watch both while learning the jumps. You can retry as many times as needed; a failed attempt does not prevent you from completing Final Selection.

After clearing the course, speak to Mizuto again.

Lavato and Levi: timed travel, capture, and rescue

Accept Lavato’s quest and reach four locations before its timer expires. Follow the objectives in order and keep moving. A horse helps with travel if you already have one, but it is not required.

Near the last location, find Levi and accept the next quest. Capture the zone and rescue the civilian before moving to the final fight.

Defeat the Hand Demon and claim your Slayer rewards

The Hand Demon is the final boss of Final Selection. Fight with other players if possible. When weaker enemies spawn, defeat them before continuing to attack the boss. Repeat this while avoiding the Hand Demon’s attacks.

Winning completes Final Selection and makes you a Slayer. Take your Crude Iron Ingot to Hidden Mist Village to craft one of the three starter katanas. The walkthrough reports the same stats for all three, so choose the one you prefer.

Use your new crow to take enemy-defeat quests. These provide experience and cash while you also build mastery from the fights. Pick up relevant crow quests before farming enemies.

Start with Serpent Breathing

Ashira recommends Serpent as an early farming choice, with Sound and Thunder as alternatives. This is the walkthrough’s recommendation, not a measured ranking for every build.

From the starting spawn, pass the nearby NPCs and climb the mountain shown in the video to find the Serpent trainer. You need level 25, 20 Demon Horns, and five Beast Cores. Completing Final Selection already puts you above the level requirement.

For horns, defeat demons in the snow area to the left of the bear area. Each gives two Demon Horns, so ten kills supply all 20. For Beast Cores, use the compass to head north toward the villages and farm the demons there until you have five; their drop chance is not specified.

Return to the trainer with the materials and pay the training fee. Complete the training minigames and defeat the Serpent Trainee to unlock Serpent Breathing.

Sound and Thunder Breathing alternatives

The Sound trainer is near the snow biome. Use the video’s route to find the NPC, check the requirements in their dialogue, collect the materials, and complete the training questline.

For Thunder, start from the village with bears, pass the boss spawn, and follow the video toward the climbing section. Unlock Climbing in your skill tree before taking this route. Reach the trainer, check their requirements, and finish the training quests.

Choose a katana and work toward its second tier

Wind Katana, Sound Katana, and Flame Katana are the weapon targets recommended in this route. The walkthrough reports identical stats for these three, so you do not need all of them just for their stats. Pick one and work on its upgrade.

Open the Archive to check the chosen item’s stats and obtainment before committing to a farm. For its second tier, play Tower mode for the required points and gather Metal Scraps, Silk Thread, and Mythic Refinement Ore.

Metal Scraps and Silk Thread come from world boss chests. You can obtain Mythic Refinement Ore through the Mistfall Harbor exchange by selling unwanted Mythical items. Keep these materials while farming other upgrades.

Build around Stone Haori and Demonic Lantern

Stone Haori drops from Gyorei and provides damage stats alongside Health and Stamina. It is the recommended armor target in this walkthrough.

Demonic Lantern can drop from world boss chests. Its damage stats and nighttime visibility make it useful for farming and traveling through dark areas. Exact bonuses and drop rates for these two items are not provided.

Use the best equipment you already own while farming these upgrades. Compare flat damage first, then Damage Factor, while keeping enough Health and Stamina to survive consistently.

Demonic Lantern and your Tower face gear slots

The showcased build uses three face gear items from Tower chests. Each gives two Additional Damage, 55 Health, and 45 Stamina. All three together add six Additional Damage, 165 Health, and 135 Stamina.

The transcript does not name those three items. Compare the Tower drops against these stats and the equipment shown in the video instead of assuming a particular item name. Upgrade one slot at a time as useful drops arrive.

Use all three titles and choose a practical clan

Check the titles you have unlocked and equip up to three with useful damage bonuses. Titles earned by dealing damage can provide strong extra stats, but the walkthrough does not prescribe an exact three-title combination.

A Supreme or Mythical clan is useful if you already have one, but rare clans are not required to start this progression. Kocho and Susumaru are the more accessible choices recommended here. Use a suitable clan now and improve it later instead of delaying the rest of your build.

Keep mastery and skills moving with your equipment

Continue unlocking skill-tree nodes, raising mastery, and learning your available skills throughout this route. Weapons, breathing, equipment, titles, and clan bonuses work together; one rare drop does not finish the build.

Before your next farming session, take a relevant crow quest, check the next katana recipe, and choose the upgrade that solves your current weakness. Improve survivability if you keep dying, or offensive stats if fights are safe but slow.
